We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Merthyr Tydfil to assist with the appointment of a Domestic Assistant, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.05 - £16.57 per hour
Hours per week: 10
Summary:
The Kitchen Domestic Assistant provides vital kitchen and domestic support within a Registered Care Home setting. The role involves preparing and maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment and assisting in meal preparation for older people, including individuals with dementia. The postholder will contribute to maintaining a homely and person-centred environment that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
Perform general and kitchen domestic duties according to scheduled tasks.
Ensure the kitchen and associated areas are clean, safe, and comply with food hygiene regulations.
Assist in meal preparation and food service, including in the Cook's absence (tea/supper).
Adhere to the requirements of the Regulation & Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
Work in compliance with service and corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year working in a care home or catering/kitchen domestic environment.
Proven experience in kitchen-based roles.
Please note:
You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
