Job Title: Site Supervisor (Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance)

Salary: Competitive salary (dependent upon experience), and Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm

Location: Camelford, PL32 9XW

What will you be doing?

  • Manage a team of 6 shift technicians working 24/7. Principal duty is the safe O&M of 2 off Biomass boilers and 3 off Oil fired Boilers and associated equipment.
  • Promote a safety led culture and deliver toolbox talks to the local team. Record all safety events including any near misses and incidents on the AVA reporting system.
  • Write risk assessments and method statements and control contractors on site.
  • Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure continued satisfaction, identifying potential problems early, giving the necessary management direction and support to resolve such issues.
  • Understands customer's culture, structure, needs, 'day to day' business drivers and expectations, establishing close working relationships with individuals within the organisation.
  • Arrange, attend and chair Client meetings representing Veolia.
  • Maintain budget control and seek additional P6 revenue-raising opportunities
  • Proactive management of PPM, Allocate PPMs to the team ensuring that they are completed on time to satisfy the KPIs
  • Ordering/procurement/raising of Purchase orders
  • Fuel management particularly Biomass pellets
  • Manage the relevant assets so that they are maintained and available for service including on-site spares stock
  • Collate information for monthly reports/ billing
  • Plan and execute boiler annual maintenance
  • Plan and execute site projects.
  • Coshh management on site





What are we looking for?


  • Qualification in mechanical or electrical Industrial maintenance
  • Experience in Operation of Steam Plant and Associated Equipment
  • Previous team leader/management experience
  • Ability to plan and assist with the dismantling and reassembling of steam boilers and associated equipment for annual inspections.
  • Proven good record of health and safety performance, COSHH
  • Ability to write and follow Risk assessments for specific tasks.
  • Ability to write and follow Method Statements
  • IT / Computer literate
