Job Title: MIG Welder
Our client is a trusted name in high-quality, durable furniture solutions. They specialise in creating reliable, well-crafted furniture frames for a range of environments, with a focus on precision, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Job Summary:
They are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join their production team following a retirement. In this role, you’ll be responsible in a team of 4 for welding tubular steel components to manufacture furniture frames to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding operations on mild steel tube to create furniture frames.
Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using welding procedure specifications.
Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety policies.
Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
Proven experience in MIG welding, ideally in a manufacturing or furniture production setting.
Ability to read technical drawings and work to precise measurements.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work the specified hours.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Fridays off — long weekends or overtime every week )
Location : Hythe Kent CT21
£27,788.80 plus overtime when available
4-day work week
