Summary


The post holder will provide a psychosexual therapy service to patients referred for therapy in Halton & Warrington and other Sexual Health sites if appropriate.

They will work as an autonomous practitioner based within the integrated sexual health service and be professionally responsible for their own work.

They will ensure the delivery of the quality strategy incorporating establishment of systems and processes for the service.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team in Axess Sexual Health as a part time (2 days per week) Psychosexual Therapist based in Halton & Warrington.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced COSRT accredited therapist or practitioner with a Diploma (or membership) from the Institute of Psychosexual

Medicine (IPM). Applications from candidates who can evidence fitness to practice and current attendance on training or submission of an application for COSRT accreditation are welcome.

Successful candidates who meet the criteria as qualified therapists with current accreditation from COSRT or an IPM Diploma will be offered a permanent contract at Band 7.

Candidates who are yet to achieve qualification or COSRT accreditation will be employed on a 12 month fixed term contract at Band 6. The offer of a permanent contract at Band 7 will be conditional upon successfully achieving qualification or Accreditation within that time period .

Axess Sexual Health delivers psychosexual services across a number of locations in Cheshire and Merseyside. We work with couples as well as individuals in the service face to face and remotely and are always keen to develop services for our clients. Additionally, the service is committed to supporting the development of clinical and professional practice. We offer an integratedtherapeutic approach taking referrals from healthcare professionals working in primary and secondary care.

The main duties of the job include seeing patients for assessment and the treatment of patients referred with psychosexual problems, some of which may be complex. Additionally the post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient/client support.

The post holder will work and interact with other therapists and practitioners as part of the regional psychosexual medicine team, colleagues within the wider sexual health service and other providers and specialists.

Additionally they will provide specialist advice with to GPs and other Health Care Professionals
