Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.

Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Business Support in Social Work, Galashiels, to provide dedicated administrative assistance across both Children’s and Adult Services. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including handling telephone enquiries and customer queries, maintaining accurate records within the Mosaic client database, processing Police Concern forms, managing team mailboxes, and supporting financial tasks such as invoice processing and transactions on behalf of Corporate Appointee clients. You will also be responsible for ordering goods and services and carrying out general administrative duties. In addition, you will coordinate, attend, and minute meetings for both Children’s and Adult Services. A key aspect of this role will be supporting colleagues through a period of transformation as part of the Fitfor2024 programme, ensuring continuity and quality of service delivery. You will work under the line management of the Admin Assistant/Team Leader

Essential

Minimum of 3 Standard Grades at level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent), including English
