Summary
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking department dedicated to delivering high-quality computing education. Duties as a Computer Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Teach programming, algorithms, data representation, cyber security, and emerging technologies in an accessible and creative way.
Support the development of students’ problem-solving, logical reasoning, and digital literacy skills.
Track and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support development.
Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of computing schemes of work and resources.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence.
Participate in school activities and enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, competitions, and STEM events.
Ideal Computer Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
A strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML/CSS.
Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
A creative and adaptable approach to delivering the curriculum.
Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Computer Science Teacher.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
