Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a committed and supportive humanities team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love for the world around them and deepen their understanding of physical and human geography. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Geography Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is an advantage).
Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, enquiry, and critical thinking.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental initiatives.
Encourage pupils to consider environmental, social, and global issues through a geographical lens.
Participate in school activities, trips, and wider enrichment opportunities related to Geography.
Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
Ideal Geography Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related subject.
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills as a Geography Teacher.
A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
