What You’ll Be Doing
• Identify and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Maintain and update health and safety policies, in collaboration with external consultants
• Lead the investigation of accidents and near-misses, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver briefings and internal training sessions on health and safety.
• Provide clear, confident health and safety advice to managers and stakeholders
• Promote a safe working environment across all levels of the workforce
• Oversee site maintenance, building safety/security, and contractor coordination
• Manage a small Maintenance team and uphold high service standards
What We’re Looking For
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
• Significant experience in a dedicated Health & Safety role
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practice
• Clear, confident communicator: able to write reports, explain HSE matters, and build strong relationships.
• Calm, practical, and solution focused. Especially in high-pressure situations
• A Keen eye for detail across all HSE tasks.
• Full UK driving licence (travel between Devon/Cornwall sites required)
