We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor.

The overall purpose of the Quantity Surveyor role is to provide commercial and cost management expertise in the delivery of Llanw’s work programmes, helping to maintain and improve Valleys to Coast’s homes and estates to the highest standards. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will support procurement activity, prepare pricing documents (such as schedules of work and bills of quantities), and manage contractor and subcontractor claims, valuations, and commercial disputes. The role is essential in ensuring value for money, budgetary control, and effective financial reporting across all projects.

We are looking for someone who can analyse tenders and quotations and make formal recommendations, manage contracts from inception to final account including the pricing of tenders/estimates, preparing and submitting valuations, pricing and agreeing variations and track budgets and regularly report on spend.

As part of the role you will provide procurement support and advice in line with Financial Regulations and Procurement Procedures, monitor and report on productivity targets, in collaboration with the operational team and respond to commercial queries and provide commercial advice.
