Summary
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MSK Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality musculoskeletal ultrasound services, independently performing and reporting on a wide range of MSK scans, and contributing to the development of our imaging services. Key Responsibilities Perform MSK ultrasound examinations including joints, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues. Confidently conduct and report on ultrasound-guided injections and diagnostic scans. Interpret and evaluate ultrasound images to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports. Communicate findings effectively with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process. Participate in service development, audit, and quality assurance initiatives. Support the training and supervision of junior staff, students, or trainees as required. Essential Requirements BSc in Radiography/Sonography or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate qualification in MSK ultrasound (PGCert/PGDip/MSc). Demonstrable experience in MSK ultrasound with independent reporting. HCPC or SCoR registration (or eligibility). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuous professional development. Desirable Attributes Experience in ultrasound-guided interventions. Familiarity with NHS systems and protocols. Flexibility to work across multiple sites
