A Vacancy at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
Applications are invited for 5 fulltime substantive posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a special interest in Hysteroscopy at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
The successful candidates are expected to provide leadership and clinical cover for our high risk labour ward and high risk acute Gynaecology. The teaching and training of junior medical staff is expected to be a key part of the role. Elective operating lists take place on both Ealing and Northwick Park sites. Outpatient clinics are at all 3 sites.
The candidate must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain good relationships with all staff within the Trust and across the Northwest London Sector.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration and be on the UK GMC Specialist Register for Obstetrics & Gynaecology or be within 6 months of obtaining this at the time of interview.
Women’s Services is part of the Division which incorporates Women’s, Children’s Clinical Support, Specialist Service and Integrated Cancer Care. The post holder will be a key member of the Women’s Services team. Key responsibilities will include providing general Obstetrics and Gynaecology inpatient and outpatient services, acute daytime Gynaecology consultant cover, resident daytime Labour ward cover and participation in the non-resident on call rotas. The post holder will work at Ealing and Northwick Park sites although there may be some work at Central Middlesex Hospital as the need arises. There is an opportunity to be involved in research work for the service and develop new ways of working. Quality improvement is an important aspect of the role.
