About the Role:
As our domestic joiner, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of joinery tasks within occupied and void social housing properties. This role requires versatility, a strong customer focus, and a commitment to delivering excellent standards of repair and maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- First Fix Joinery: Including timber framing, floor joists, roofing structures, and window/door frames as required.
- Second Fix Joinery: Installing doors, architraves, skirting boards, staircases, kitchen units, ironmongery, and various fixtures and fittings.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnosing and rectifying joinery defects, undertaking reactive repairs, and planned maintenance tasks within residents' homes.
- Customer Service: Interacting respectfully and professionally with residents, ensuring minimal disruption and clear communication.
- Working efficiently and cleanly, leaving properties tidy upon completion.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven and highly experienced as a domestic joiner.
- Experienced in social housing or similar residential maintenance environments.
- A valid CSCS card is essential for this role.
- Asbestos awareness and manual handling.
- Possesses excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills for repairs.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging positively with residents.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated, with a strong work ethic.
- Committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
