Summary

A Vacancy at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.


To provide a high level of professional and confidential co-ordination of the administrative staff for the Care Unit. The post holder will provide support to the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager in all aspects of hospital and community performance management. Full consideration will be given to the development of the individual and their progress on to a more senior post will be encouraged.

To manage staff as agreed in local structures, providing leadership and direction.To manage on a day-to-day basis the provision of an efficient and effective administrative service. To establish and maintain standards and ensure these are audited and regularly reviewed.

To prioritise training and development needs and undertake Appraisals for staff, to ensure that each individual’s potential is maximised and the Trust’s organisational objectives are met.

To act as a professional lead for administrative staff and co-ordinate the workload for this group of staff

To ensure relevant rotas are filled and manage sick leave, annual leave and other absence for all administrative staff

To balance workload ensuring all local requirements are resourced and targets are met

To ensure that all administrative processes are appropriately actioned. This includes, but is not limited to, salary returns, sickness records, complaints etc.

To manage staff as agreed in local structures, providing leadership and direction.

To provide specialist administrative services to senior clinical/non clinical staff.

To provide cover as required, during periods of absence, for relevant colleagues within the care unit.

To action complex instructions from relevant designated staff.

To collect and analyse any relevant data and make recommendations to the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager in respect of the maintenance of inpatient and outpatient waiting list/time guarantees and support the Assistant Service Manager to reduce the waiting lists.

To ensure the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager is aware of any problems which could affect the achievement of waiting time targets and implement corrective action.
