Summary
This post is for a Neurology Teaching Fellow based at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, Salford Royal Hospital of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA).
The Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences serves a large population and has a full complement of neurological subspecialties encompassing; Stroke, Cognitive function, Neuromuscular, Epilepsy, Neuroimmunology and Movement Disorders.
You will have post-graduate medical experience with either current employment in a UKFPO-affiliated Foundation Programme or 12 months’ experience post-full GMC registration and evidence of achievement of foundation competencies.
You will be a fully registered medical practitioners and hold a current GMC licence to practice.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to medical education, complete an educational project or gain further teaching qualifications. The appointee will meet with their supervisor to agree an achievement timetable at the commencement of the post and then will have regular supervisory meeting throughout the tenure of the post.
Alongside the educational commitment, the appointee will perform one or two neurology clinics per week and may partake in the middle grade neurology/acute stroke on call rota.
