Job Description
Someone enthusiastic to support and encourage Marcus, a 19-year-old young man, to access the community, keep active with walking and visiting local parks, looking in shops, swimming, fun fair, trampoline, bowling, or going out to eat. To get to know his way of communicating, his choices and wishes, with respect at all times.
To always be patient and engage with Marcus, who has Autism and Learning Disabilities, by letting him go at his own time and speed so he can adjust to his environment. To recognise when to step in and support him, and show him how to complete the activity in the community.
The PA needs to be someone who remains calm if there are unexpected challenges and remains quiet, confident and able to take action where necessary to resolve the situation safely.
