Summary

Corporate and Delivery Directorate works closely with the Home Office’s policy and operational commands to enable us together to deliver the department’s priorities. The directorate is comprised of different teams and professional functions, including Commercial, Finance, People, Portfolio and Project Delivery, Security, Estates and Information and Digital, Data and Technology.

The Senior Performance Analyst will provide insight and intelligence on recruitment, workforce, and market trends to inform short- and medium-term strategic hiring plans and support effective recruitment reporting. This role ensures our people plans and processes are data-driven and evidence-based, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Working closely with all Resourcing teams, the post holder will help build confidence in the evidence base and the analytical capabilities across the function. They will play a key role in embedding an evidence-based approach within Home Office Resourcing, engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced analyst who can help shape and inform resourcing activity, drive recruitment improvements, and support the delivery of Home Office objectives and the wider Civil Service workforce agenda.

The successful candidate will have strong numerical skills, an understanding of using data to support strategic decisions. They will support the Lead Performance Analyst in delivering a data-driven service, ensuring data integrity, managing performance and supply data, and influencing decision-making through robust analytics that underpin the Resourcing Operating Model. They will need the intellectual ability to manage supply and performance data and ensure the integrity of data used.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Performance Analyst with the management of complex data and to develop high quality MI to support resourcing professionals, blending statistical analysis with impactful narrative.

  • Work with resourcing colleagues to understand and deliver the metrics required to understand the efficiency of the resourcing process and the effectiveness of specific resourcing strategies.
  • Work with Resourcing teams to deliver monthly analysis reports for resourcing and provide regular status reports.
  • Manage the collection of supply data from external suppliers, and creating and maintaining dashboards.
  • Support with the production of data to understand and deliver the metrics and qualitative analysis of different recruitment and campaign strategies.
  • Support with building the confidence and capability of the Resourcing Operating Model to provide a data driven service and draw value from analytical outputs.
  • Work with the Lead Performance Analyst to conduct statistical analysis on bespoke questions to provide a deeper understanding of the results of specific recruitment techniques and the effectiveness of specific resourcing strategies.
  • Offer a professional service to drive up knowledge and build capability in ROM, supporting the Lead Performance Analyst to employ a broad range of analytical methods, techniques and approaches to enhance the maturity of analytical findings produced.

Working Patterns

Due to the business requirements of this role, it is only available on a full-time basis. However, job-share and compressed hours are available.
