Summary

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Milling or Turning)
Location: SN10 Area, Wiltshire
Salary: £16-£18 per hour, paid weekly
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
39 hours per week, with overtime available

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in either milling or turning to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work with modern CNC machinery, including Hurco and Haas mills and Fanuc-controlled lathes, to produce high-precision components for demanding applications.

Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Hurco/Haas) or CNC lathes (Fanuc control).
⦁ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to machine components to tight tolerances.
⦁ Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards using appropriate measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
⦁ Edit programs at the machine as necessary to optimise production or accommodate engineering changes.
⦁ Work with large components commonly used in hydraulic and pneumatic valve systems.
⦁ Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with company policies.
⦁ Collaborate with other machinists and the engineering team to resolve technical issues.

Requirements:
⦁ Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a precision engineering environment.
⦁ Proficiency with Hurco or Haas mills and/or Fanuc-controlled lathes.
⦁ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
⦁ Experience machining large components and working to close tolerances.
⦁ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
⦁ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
