Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a lasting difference in young lives? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and professional team at our well-established nursery in Chelmsford.
About the Role:As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5. You'll work as part of a team to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages children’s development in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
Responsibilities:-
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s development across all areas of learning

Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and share this with parents/carers

Support children’s emotional, physical, and social development

Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
-
Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all children

Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of nursery life

Work as part of a team to meet the needs of the setting and contribute to a positive working environment
Qualifications & Requirements:-
A minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)

Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework

Experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach

A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable, but training can be provided)
Working Hours:This is a full-time, permanent position. Exact working hours will be discussed during the interview but will be within standard nursery operating hours (typically between 7:30am – 6:00pm).
