Minibus Driver
The Ladder School is a forward-thinking, inclusive and life-changing Alternative Provision school. We work with children who need a second chance to be a success at school. We are a happy, warm, welcoming school and value the relationships we build every day with our colleagues, the students and their families.
We are currently seeking a reliable and committedMinibus Driverto join our team on a casual contract basis. This role is vital in ensuring our students are transported safely and punctually to and from school, educational visits, and sporting activities. You will be an ambassador for the school, promoting our values and ethos at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a safe and dependable transport service for students and staff.
• Ensure all passengers are securely seated, including the safe securing of wheelchairs where necessary.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks (e.g. water, oil, tyre pressure) and ensure the minibus is clean and fuelled.
• Record mileage and report any faults or incidents, completing the necessary documentation.
• Support students with SEN during transport, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain the condition of safety signage and first aid supplies on the vehicle.
