Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will have experience of enabling and supporting pupils with SEND with their personal, social development and academic progress from their individual starting points. Further responsibilities will include administrative tasks to support children and teaching staff.

Essential

• Have a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or if unqualified, a willingness to complete the qualification
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Confident using technology
• Able to forge positive relationships with young people
• An excellent caring and empathetic skill towards pupils
• Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines
• Has a commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and providing equality of opportunity

Desirable

• Experience in Key Stage 2 would be beneficial
• Knowledge of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
