The Role
We are excited to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a permanent Team Manager to work within our strong and stable Assessment Service Management Team.
Our Assessment Service is part of Bolton Council’s Front Door and takes referrals and assessments from the Integrated Front Door. The assessments are regarding children who are at risk of significant harm and in need of support to ensure their welfare and protection. The teams are responsible for Section 47 enquiries, social care assessments, Initial Child Protection Conferences, issuing Care Proceedings and initiating the Public Law Outline.
As a Team Manager, you will lead the management, supervision, support and guidance of a team of social workers, working alongside a Deputy Team Manager. The Team Manager will ensure that the services offered to children are of the highest quality, ensuring effective safeguarding of children and adhering to statutory and legislative requirements. You will be expected to ensure the excellent standards of work are steered through supervision, quality assurance, performance management and audit.
Alongside the management team and Strategic Lead you will work together to drive forward the vision of improving services to ensure the most vulnerable children in Bolton are safe and their outcomes improved.
About You
You will need to be a qualified social worker with proven experience of safeguarding children, child protection and/or Court work experience and experience of working at the Front Door.

You will need to be resilient and solution focused, with an ethos of effective team working and partnership working in a challenging environment.
