Mitie is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Multi Skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team and help maintain a wide range of building systems at one of our key client's sites. This role is essential in ensuring the continued performance, safety, and compliance of of essential infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of HVAC and water system installations, including ventilation systems such as AHUs and intake/extract units, as well as heating and cooling systems like thermal wheels and fan coil units. You will also work on water system assets including booster sets, calorifiers, and water heaters. Your day-to-day duties will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), conducting compliance checks, performing emergency lighting inspections, and completing legionella testing. A key part of the role is delivering a high standard of service to clients - responding to queries, reporting any defects, and keeping them informed of ongoing site activities during service visits. You will also be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, while maintaining detailed logs of inspections and any remedial work carried out.
What we're looking for?We're looking for someone who can deliver a high standard of service, communicate clearly with clients, and keep accurate records of inspections and remedial work. You should be comfortable working in confined spaces, at height, and performing manual tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also key, as you'll be expected to interact with clients and colleagues in a clear and professional manner. A flexible approach is essential, as the role includes participation in an on-call rota.
Qualifications and Experience
-Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities management environment
-Relevant technical qualifications: F-Gas, C&G / NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering or HNC equivalent
-Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work procedures, and safe systems of work
-Full UK driving licence
You'll be required to complete a Basic Disclosure Check and may be required to undertake a drug and alcohol screening test.
