Summary


We areseekingacreative and committedAssistant Psychologistto work inSouthwark CAMHS.Applicants must have a first degree in psychology with eligibility for British Psychological Society Graduate Basis for Chartership, 2:1 or above. Applicants will ideally have prior clinical and research experience, including data and statistical analysis. The post-holders willgain a wide variety of experience andbe supervised by a Clinical Psychologist and so these posts are highly suitable for candidates who aspire to future training in clinical psychology.











You willbe one of fiveAssistant Psychologists in the service and workacross several teams. Clinical work may includeindividual screening appointments forneurodevelopmental difficulties,co-facilitating therapeutic groups andjointassessment and therapeutic clinical work. There will also be opportunities tocontribute to service user involvement groups. Audit and contribution to service development will also becrucial aspects of the work.


Southwark CAMHS


You will be one of five Assistant Psychologists in the service and work across several teams. Clinical work may include individual screening appointments for neurodevelopmental difficulties, co-facilitating therapeutic groups and joint assessment and therapeutic clinicalwork. There will also be opportunities to contribute to service user involvement groups. Audit and contribution to service development will also be crucial aspects of the work.


WithinSLAM, Southwarkprovides CAMH services to children and young people under 18 with a range of mental health needs with different configurations of multi-disciplinary teams. Each service is committed to SLAM’s values, and to provide high-quality, collaborative evidence-based services.There are strong academic links and regular CPD opportunities.




• You will be one of fiveAssistant Psychologists in the service and work

• To assistpractitioner psychologists in the delivery of a specialist applied psychology service in CAMHS.

• To provide clinical work as required by the service, under the direct guidance, close clinical and professional supervision of a practitioner psychologist.

• Toassistin clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects,teachingand project work.

• To work following clinical guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, while closely supervised and regularly seeking help from clinical/professional supervisor or manager.
