Summary
Based in a busy Control Room, as a Telecare response handler you will be part of a team providing monitoring and response services within the Medway and surrounding areas.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to all partners and service users.
The role will involve managing the emergency calls coming in on the Telecare system and dealing with them efficiently and effectively. You will also be monitoring and managing incidents from the CCTV Cameras from the initial sighting and reporting through to completion, with co-ordination internally and externally with relevant stakeholders and service users.
Your communication skills and calm manner will be a key requirement, along with committing to work a shift pattern which covers a 365 day operation. This is a fast-paced position, where every hour is different and will require quick, logical thinking whilst providing excellent customer service.
Previous experience within an emergency response handling environment will be required and if you have worked in monitoring-controlled unit this would be an advantage. You must have good ICT skills, and a passion for supporting vulnerable people. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge and understanding of assistive technology and Telecare.
You will be working a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern that will be 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am. The control room is located close to public transport.
