About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-set work and maintaining a focused, supportive learning environment. It’s a dynamic, rewarding role that gives you a true feel for school life — without the planning and marking responsibilities of a full-time teacher.

You’ll work across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting a range of subjects. Whether you’re a recent graduate, an aspiring teacher, or someone with strong classroom presence and communication skills, this is an opportunity to make a difference and develop valuable skills along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervising students in the absence of a classroom teacher

  
  

• Ensuring set work is completed and classroom behaviour is well managed

  
  

• Encouraging a calm, productive learning atmosphere

  
  

• Supporting the wider school community and adapting to different subject areas

  
  

• Reporting back to teaching staff and pastoral teams on student progress and behaviour

  
  

  What We’re Looking For

  • A confident and professional communicator

    
    

  • Experience working with young people (school, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring etc.) is desirable

    
    

  • Someone reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic

    
    

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development

    
    

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK and be willing to undergo a DBS check
