Summary

Waste Management Operative (Loader) (4 positions)
Grade 3, £24,404 up to £25,584 per annum pro rata
37 hours per week, full time, permanent contract

We’re currently recruiting for four Waste Management Operatives. Your role will include working as part of a team collecting household and commercial waste (mainly contained in wheeled bins and sacks) from properties across the borough. As part of the Street Scene Service you will, when required, participate in the wider duties of the service.

You must be physically fit, able to walk long distances each day, move wheeled bins, sacks and any other waste as required and have a focus on good customer service as part of this key frontline service.

Applicants should be committed individuals who are looking to make a difference to the high-profile and priority services of the council. A current full Class B driving licence would be advantageous.

You will be expected to behave in accordance with the council’s values which include being customer focused and courteous when interacting with members of the public, whilst ensuring service standards are met.
