Summary

The post holder will be expected to assimilate, analyse and comvolumes of complex information to all stakeholders. This will include scientific data,progress reports, financial information etc to expert audiences, and interpretations ofthat information for lay/non-expert audiences. The information will be communicatedin conjunction with the communications teams and researchers, using a wide range ofmedia, through written and oral formal and informal presentations. To employ advanced communication skills influencing and negotiating with seniorstakeholders in the Trust and the University to deliver the strategic aims of the BRC. To help develop external relationships with all stakeholders in order to promoteand develop the BRC and its portfolio of studies. To ensure development, implementation and monitoring of the BRC policy forpublic engagement. To ensure that all communications and relationships with stakeholders and fundersare managed effectively and efficiently, using appropriate tools for the provisionand dissemination of information to all appropriate audiences. To actively contribute to the running of key meetings of the BRC, including theproduction of agendas and papers for meetings. To chair meetings as required. Toparticipate in NHS/University management meetings as required. To coordinate and support the BRC Co-Directors on any future application for thenew BRC from 2028 and any associated applications, e.g. capital and bioresource. To liaise with academic and clinical colleagues as required to produce a cohesivewritten application, supported by interviews and multimedia presentations.
