Summary
Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Enfield
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Enfield to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of academic and additional needs.
The school offers a well-structured support system and is looking for confident, adaptable staff with good subject knowledge who can assist across multiple curriculum areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support to students across KS3 and KS4 in a variety of subjects including English, Maths and Science
* Support students with SEN, EAL and other learning needs to access lessons and make progress
* Assist with adapting resources and scaffolding tasks to suit individual learning styles
* Work closely with subject teachers and SEN staff to implement strategies and monitor progress
* Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage active engagement in learning
* Support with small group interventions, exam preparation and homework guidance
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working in a secondary school or with KS3/KS4 students
* Good general subject knowledge and the ability to support across multiple areas
* A calm, flexible and proactive approach to classroom support
* Understanding of SEN, EAL and behaviour support techniques
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Location and Transport - Enfield, London EN1
* Accessible via Enfield Town, Southbury and Bush Hill Park stations
* Served by local bus routes including 121, 191, 329, W8
