Maths Tutor - Alternative Provision
Days: Part-time - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (9:00am-3:00pm)

Location: NG2, Nottingham
Long Term Futures are working in collaboration with an Alternative Provision in Nottingham, to appoint a Maths Tutor. This is a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with young people in trauma-informed environment, helping them reconnect with maths and rebuild their confidence in education.
This provision offers a creative, wellbeing-focused alternative to mainstream education, supporting students aged 11-16 who have faced barriers due to social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver maths lessons to students on a 1:1 basis.
- Adapt content to meet a wide range of learning needs, including SEN and SEMH.
- Build trusting relationships that support engagement in learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, reporting on development where appropriate.
- Promote a calm, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere.
About You
- You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in maths or a related subject.
- You have experience working with students who may present challenging behaviour or have special educational needs.
- You are patient, compassionate, and committed to helping young people succeed at their own pace.
