We are looking for a full time Physiotherapist to join our Emergency Medicine and Acute Assessment therapy team.

The successful candidate will be joining our well established, integrated team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who provide comprehensive and specialist therapy assessments, with a prevention of avoidable admission focus to a varied cohort of patients across our Emergency department and Acute Assessment Unit.

Candidates should have experience with a variety of patient cohorts ranging from complex falls, orthopaedic conditions and neurological presentations and show a sound knowledge of the assessment and treatments required.

With a 1 hour response time to the Emergency Department, candidates would need to be able to adopt a flexible approach to caseload management whilst ensuring all of the patients’ needs are met.

In addition to providing clinical care to patients, they will be supporting more junior staff and sharing their clinical expertise.

They should be able to demonstrate sound leadership and organisational skills to support and deputise where needed.

The post holder would be joining an established senior tier and would support the training and supervision of the junior team members, as well as key performance indicators and service developments.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on the therapy seven day working rota, of a 1:6 frequency with compensatory rest days in the following week, as well as being part of the on call service.

The ED and AAU team cover a service from 8am – 6pm, seven days a week and as a member of this team there would be requirements to cover some of these shifts.

We can offer you training opportunities to develop your specialist skills in line with your PDR. We have senior leadership training opportunities on a regular basis as well courses funded externally.
