Summary
We are seeking a creative and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher who is passionate about early learning and ensuring a smooth transition from the EYFS to Key Stage 1. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills
Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions
Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and curiosity
Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support every child’s development
Ideal Year 1 Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
Be knowledgeable about the phonics screening check and early years development
Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
Be reflective, organised, and passionate about providing high-quality education
