Job Purpose: The Reliability Systems Development Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and consistent application of Reliability Systems across the organisation. This role involves leading development and supporting implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance and reliability systems that enhance asset performance, reduce downtime, and optimise maintenance strategies.The Reliability System Development Manager is responsible for aligning maintenance technologies, data analytics, and reliability best practices with business objectives, ensuring system integration, standardisation, and long-term operational efficiency across the organisation to drive operational excellence, safety and cost-efficiency.This role focusses on improving machine reliability through the implementation of productions systems part of Ibstock Safe Reliable Production System. The systems will ensure good communication at the different tiers in the factory streamline problem solving processes and continuous improvement initiatives.As a natural leader, the role requires strong influence and the ability to win hearts and minds at the manufacturing facilities, ensuring ownership and sustainability of the system once hand over is complete. The role will work closely with various departments to maintain, audit, and improve systems, while developing key KPIs to track performance.Key Accountabilities:Lead the creation, development, and supporting implementation of the Reliability System across the group, with the involvement of relevant functions and with alignment of manufacturing objectives and long-term asset performance goals.Provide leadership and guidance to the working group, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and accountability.Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, analysing data and implementing solutions to improve machine reliability.Drive structured root cause analysis (RCA) processes to eliminate recurring failures and establish sustainable corrective actions.Partner with safety, maintenance, engineering, production, and quality teams to align reliability initiatives with operational priorities and ensure seamless implementation.Support in the develop of a detailed implementation plan with clear milestones and deliverables, ensuring a smooth transition from current systems to Ibstock Safe Reliable Production System.Lead joint efforts with internal audit teams to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance standards.Establish, track, and report on reliability and maintenance KPIs to measure performance, drive continuous improvement and track success of Reliability System implementation.Coaching the team at factories to ensure day-to-day tasks are complete in line with expectations from the Reliability System. Performing weekly reviews to track progress on objectives and managing performance to ensure delivery.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Essential:Extensive experience in management role dealing with all levels of Management.Be able to motivate and encourage others; be decisive and able to work well under pressure; resolve conflicts and good at problem solving.Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be able to co-ordinate work carried out by different people and organisations.Innovative thinking and solutions focussed.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, CMMS platforms and predictive maintenance technologies.Extensive experience in implementing production systems and maintenance programs in large-scale industrial environments.Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams across multiple functions.Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage large-scale implementation projects within budget.Analytical mind-set with experience in developing and using KPIs to drive performance improvements.Think you can make a difference?
