Summary
We are looking for an Integration and Support Supervisor to become a vital part of the Refugee, Resettlement & Migration Service.
You will play a vital role in providing front-line integration and support services directly to individuals and families from conflict-affected countries, assisting with their relocation to the UK, their stay in temporary accommodation or host placements, and their transition into settled accommodation.

Salary: £38,626 to £41,511 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Location: County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RQ
Interview Date: 16th and 17th July

This role requires the successful candidate to travel throughout the county for visits. Regular attendance at your designated base location will also be necessary, and there will be opportunities for remote work. Final arrangements will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
The role involves engaging confidently with families in person. While managing a caseload is not part of the responsibilities, there is an expectation to support case holders and to take initiative in independently delivering transactional activities.
Occasionally, the work may involve interacting with individuals experiencing significant trauma or difficult circumstances, requiring genuine empathy, professionalism, and resilience to provide appropriate support.
You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available.
About the Job
As an Integration and Support Supervisor, you will oversee the daily delivery of a diverse integration and support service to a range of clients.
Our work in Integration and Support Team and any given day can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:
- Daily management of the casework service, overseeing resources within budget constraints to ensure service continuity and consistent service levels, including planning for and addressing fluctuations in service demand.
- Recognising and responding to urgent safeguarding needs, promoting long-term planning when appropriate, identifying and addressing gaps in policy or practice, and ensuring the efficient allocation of work within the team.
- Working collaboratively across WSCC and partner teams and services to coordinate efforts in identifying areas for improvement within the service, with a particular focus on opportunities to enhance customer self-service.
- Being a proactive leader, you will manage an Integration and Support team, overseeing their performance management and professional growth. This includes establishing mentorship programs, setting and monitoring goals and objectives, and maintaining a balance between skill development and ongoing training to ensure a highly effective team.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstrating comparable applied knowledge in researching, analysing, and evaluating arguments and information related to refugee support or a related field.
- Supervisory or management experience and evidence of continuous professional development.
- Skills to work in a customer-focused manner, delivering high-quality service with excellent attention to detail, thereby establishing trust and confidence with customers.
- Proven ability to compose and produce clear, concise written business reports for various purposes, including research, project proposals, and business cases outlining recommended courses of action.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office packages, enabling the production of written and statistical reports.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal communication, with the ability to influence the actions of others and convey complex and potentially sensitive information.
