Job Title: Control Room Operator
This is a full time, fixed term contract until end of October 2025
Pay Rate: £13.10
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, across two alternating shift patterns (6am-6pm and 12pm-12am) 12 hour shifts
Main Duties:
As an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operator within MITIE, your responsibilities will include:
-Monitoring incoming alarm and CCTV signals from multiple client sites.
-Contacting emergency services, keyholders, or relevant contacts in the event of an alarm activation.
-Providing accurate communication.
-Documenting all incidents and actions taken in a clear and concise manner.
-Following standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure effective response to all situations.
-Working effectively as part of a team to maintain 24/7 surveillance and response capabilities.
-Demonstrating strong attention to detail, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Requirements for this role typically include proficiency in using alarm monitoring systems, excellent communication skills, the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends, and a background check for security clearance. A background in security, customer service, or emergency response is often preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

-Applicants must have a 5-year checkable history.
-You must successfully pass a PSNI check as per BS5979 and BS7858 screening as per industry standard.
