Summary
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join the Lots for Tots Childcare team! If you're an enthusiastic childcare professional with leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality early years education, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
Leading and motivating a dedicated team of practitioners
Ensuring compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards
Building strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies
Organising staff schedules, routines, and overseeing daily operations
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and equal opportunities policies
Acting as a role model, supporting staff development, and ensuring the best care and learning experiences for children
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
✔ Previous experience in a similar role or strong leadership experience as a Room Leader/Practitioner ready to step up
✔ Sound knowledge of EYFS and experience implementing it effectively
✔ Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and regulations
✔ Ability to lead, motivate, and organise a team effectively
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ Ability to work in partnership with parents and external agencies
✔ A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach
Working Hours:
Full-time position
09;30 - 18:00 per day except a early hours shift on a Wednesday 07:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
