The Role – Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll support both students and teachers across different subjects and year groups. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Working 1:1 or with small groups to help students who need additional academic or emotional support.
• Supporting teachers in lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom delivery.
• Assisting with homework support, behaviour management, and student engagement strategies.
• Helping to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Liaising with teaching staff, SEN coordinators, and pastoral teams to ensure every child is supported effectively.
• Acting as a positive role model and mentor for students.

What We’re Looking For – Graduate Teaching Assistant

• Have strong GCSE and A-Level results.

• Are resilient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced school environment.
• Are considering a career in teaching or education and want to gain first-hand school experience.
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, youth work, coaching) is desirable but not essential.
