Summary
We are currently undergoing recruitment for a Transport planner to join our client in the Welshpool area.
05:00 – 15:00
Monday – Friday
£30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Main roles and responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate multi-drop delivery routes for a large fleet operating across TF, SY, and LD postcode areas.
Optimise driver schedules and vehicle usage to maximise operational efficiency.
Maintain regular and clear communication with Collection & Delivery (C&D) drivers throughout the working day.
Collaborate with the operations team to manage and schedule customer collections.
Prepare, scan, and manifest pallets for national distribution via pallet network systems.
Upload, process, and manage all customer paperwork, including customs documentation.
Handle customer service queries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate with other depots and national distribution centres.
Support European and Irish shipments, including customs clearance procedures.
Quickly resolve any live delivery or collection issues to uphold service standards.
Ensure compliance with internal transport procedures and maintain high service quality.
Skills and requirements:
Experience in transport planning or a multi-drop logistics role (preferred).
Solid geographical knowledge of the TF, SY, and LD postcode regions.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Confident and professional telephone manner, with a strong focus on customer service.
Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internal systems (training provided).
Experience with pallet networks (advantageous but not required).
A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
