Summary
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant for a prestigious, fast-paced client based in Elland, HX5.
This is a permanent role, and an excellent opportunity to gain permanent employment with a well established, growing company who operate nationally throughout the UK, supporting a wide range of clients within the retail, education, industrial and commercial sectors.
This is a diverse and challenging role for the right candidate, with a real opportunity for them to put their own mark on improving the management processes, as well as reporting for the finance team and wider company.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts preparation, including preparation of accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules.
- Work closely with purchase and sales ledger teams to ensure accurate transaction processing and query resolution
- Perform regular reconciliations, including bank, petty cash, and intercompany accounts
- Resolving queries and issues with the finance system to support team
- Contribute to audit preparation and provide cover for other finance team members as needed
- Undertake ad hoc project work and reporting as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Either Part Qualified / Qualified in Accounting
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a finance team (required)
- Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of other IT systems
- Experience with Sage 50 and Sage 200 (desirable)
- Team player, confident working across all areas of a business
- Previous experience in the Field Services Industry (desirable)
- Skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on deadlines
- Ability to produce high quality work to tight deadlines
Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 40 hours per week
- 08.00 am to 17.00 pm
