Summary

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE/FLT COUNTERBALANCE DRIVER
Location: Basildon, SS14
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts:

• Monday – Thursday: 09:00 – 17:30

  
  

• Friday: 11:30 – 20:00
  Flexibility required to cover rotating shifts (06:00 – 14:30 & 11:30 – 20:00 Monday to Friday) to cover absences

  
  

  Hexagon Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team based in Basildon (SS14).

  This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in warehousing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all cargo is accounted for and safely handled while in the warehouse

    
    

  • Load and unload freight with care and attention

    
    

  • Operate forklift trucks safely in line with procedures and training

    
    

  • Follow all procedures outlined in the Warehouse Procedure Manual

    
    

  • Report damages or shortages promptly with accurate documentation

    
    

  • Ensure freight is booked in correctly, with dims checked and reported

    
    

  • Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organisation

    
    

  • Complete daily and weekly forklift and equipment checks

    
    

  • Charge forklifts at the end of each day

    
    

  • Wear appropriate PPE at all times

    
    

    Required Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment

      
      

    • Excellent attention to detail is essential

      
      

    • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (minimum 3000kg)

      
      

    • FLT Flexi licence is an advantage

      
      

    • Experience with groupage

      
      

    • Skilled in loading and unloading containers

      
      

      Additional Requirements:

      • Flexibility to cover alternative shifts as needed
