About the Role of Service Manager:
As Service Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring excellence in care, staff management, regulatory compliance, and overall performance.
Key responsibilities of the Service Manager include:
Leading and motivating a team to deliver safe, effective, and personalised care.
Managing relationships with external agencies, commissioners, and stakeholders.
Ensuring the service operates within budget and meets performance targets.
Recruiting, developing, and managing staff to ensure high standards of practice.
Driving quality improvement and compliance with CQC requirements.
Promoting a safe working environment, in line with health and safety policies.
Being flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of the service.
✅ What You'll Need as a Service Manager:
Experience in a managerial role within care or supported living.
Previous work in a CQC-regulated service (preferred).
NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle pressure calmly.
A compassionate, person-centred approach with a strong commitment to independence and dignity.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with external partners and professionals.
