Summary

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to take on a leadership role at the heart of Sunderlandandrsquo;s neighbourhoods, managing a new, place-based, multi-agency team focused on community safety and resilience.andnbsp;



As a Locality Manager, you will lead and coordinate one of Sunderlandandrsquo;s Community Safety Locality Hubs. Youandrsquo;ll oversee officers working across environmental enforcement, antisocial behaviour, regulatory compliance, and community engagement, bringing services together to deliver integrated, intelligence-led responses to local priorities.andnbsp;



You will play a vital role in building trust with residents, partners, and stakeholders, driving innovation, and delivering visible improvements across your designated locality.andnbsp;



What Youandrsquo;ll Be Doing:

- Leading and coordinating a multi-agency locality hubandnbsp;

- Acting as a key point of contact for elected members, residents, and partners in your areaandnbsp;

- Driving problem-solving through andldquo;virtual teamsandrdquo; drawn from across council services and external agenciesandnbsp;

- Developing and delivering localised strategies and action plans, informed by community intelligence and dataandnbsp;

- Managing team performance, resources, budgets, and operational deliveryandnbsp;

- Overseeing compliance with enforcement legislation, health and safety, and safeguarding proceduresandnbsp;

- Promoting resident involvement in service design and decision-makingandnbsp;

- Representing the service at locality and regional forumsandnbsp;

- Fostering innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environmentandnbsp;



What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

- Youandrsquo;ll bring leadership, innovation, and a people-first approach to place-based problem solving. Ideally, you will have:andnbsp;

- Experience of leading or coordinating multi-disciplinary teams or partnership initiativesandnbsp;

- Strong knowledge of community safety, public protection, or locality-based service deliveryandnbsp;

- Proven ability to manage performance, budgets, and complex operational issuesandnbsp;

- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and political awarenessandnbsp;

andnbsp;-The confidence to challenge, innovate, and drive change at a local levelandnbsp;

- A relevant degree or professional qualification, or equivalent operational experienceandnbsp;
