Summary
Volunteering Opportunities at British Creative Institute
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? The British Creative Institute (BCI) is seeking dedicated volunteers to work in our unique, multicultural, and multi-diverse environment, supporting post-16 SEND learners. If you have a genuine desire to help students thrive in an inclusive setting, we welcome your application!
Volunteer Role:
As a volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting our learners, contributing to their educational and personal development. You may assist in classroom activities, provide one-on-one support, help with community or social engagement, or participate in creative projects. Knowledge of Adobe creative applications is a plus but not essential. Your contribution will be invaluable in ensuring that our students receive the personalised care and attention they need.
Requirements:
To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, all volunteering applicants must meet stringent safeguarding requirements, which include:
- An extended DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Two character references (cannot be provided by friends or relatives).
- Two professional references.
Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the nature of the role, and previous experience in teaching, community, or social activities is an advantage. However, we welcome applications from all sectors, including mobility applicants, as long as you have the commitment to support students with SEND needs.
At BCI, we are proud to foster a supportive, multi-lingual, and culturally diverse environment. We believe that every volunteer brings a unique perspective, and together, we can create an enriching experience for our learners.
Safeguarding:
Our safeguarding policies are at the core of our institution, ensuring that all students are protected from harm. Volunteers must adhere to these policies and undergo the necessary checks to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
If you are ready to contribute to the growth and well-being of our SEND learners and be part of a team that values diversity and inclusion, apply today and make a lasting impact!
How to Apply:
Send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience, availability, and motivation to join our team to jobs@fastispeed.com. Be sure to include contact information for your references.
