About the Role
Long Term Futures is delighted to partner with a leading specialist school in Derbyshire to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant for a long‑term role. You'll be at the heart of a nurturing, therapeutic environment, supporting pupils aged 7-18 with autism spectrum disorder and complex educational needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in preparing adapted learning materials and delivering engaging classroom activities.
- Support pupils' emotional, physical and communication needs - both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Facilitate outdoor learning experiences and supervise pupils in varied settings.
- Help create a structured, inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.
- Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.

What We're Looking For

- Level 2 English & Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above).
- Full UK driving licence (due to limited public transport access).
- Previous experience with pupils with SEND or ASD is highly desirable.
