About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with a values-led primary school in Derbyshire to find a skilled SENDCO. This is a non-classroom leadership role where you will lead SEND strategy, coach staff, and help improve inclusion across the school.

The school focuses on high expectations for all children and uses research-based teaching. As SENDCO, you will support teachers by coaching them on SEND strategies, especially around scaffolding and adapting lessons to meet all pupils' needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop SEND support across the school.
- Work closely with the Principal and leadership team to build a culture of inclusion and high expectations.
- Coach and support teachers with SEND teaching methods.
- Help staff plan and adapt lessons using the latest research.
- Work with families, outside agencies, and local authorities to make sure pupils get the support they need.
- Track pupil progress and make sure EHCPs and legal requirements are met.

What We're Looking For
- Qualified teacher with NPQ for SENDCOs (NPQSEND).
- Recent experience as a SENDCO within a Primary School setting.
- Skilled in coaching, team teaching, and using research-based SEND approaches.
- Strong understanding of SEND law, EHCPs, and inclusive teaching.
- A confident leader who works quickly and clearly.
- Knowledge of Derbyshire SEND systems is desirable.
