About the Social Sciences Department

The Social Sciences department at Trinity School is a vibrant and collaborative team that strives to ensure all students achieve their full potential.

A significant proportion of sixth form students study Social Sciences, it is an incredibly popular choice, and often has a waiting list to join. Students are engaged and enthusiastic in lessons and demonstrate a real passion to learn. In Psychology we currently have two Year 12 classes and one Year 13 class. In Sociology, we have one class in Year 12 and two classes in Year 13. The students currently receive nine one-hour lessons per fortnight for both subjects in year 12 and 10 hours of lessons in Year 13. We currently have 3 members of staff across the department, with specialists in both subjects. Students study the AQA A Level syllabus in both subjects.

About You

You will be committed to the development and progress of students, able to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and you will be the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative team working style, relishes a challenge and is resilient.
