Support Worker – Supported Accommodation for Young People (Live-In)
Organisation: Pathfinder Care Services
Pathfinder Care Services is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality support to young people aged 16–17 within our Supported Accommodation settings.
About the Role:
The primary aim is to support our young people in becoming emotionally stable, self-sufficient, and ready to live independently in the community. You will play a key role in helping them develop essential life and independence skills through personalised support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support young people in areas such as Education, Health, Employment & Training, Immigration and Asylum, Benefits, and building positive support networks
Teach and assist with practical life skills including cleaning, cooking, budgeting, shopping, personal hygiene, leisure activities, and healthcare management
Escort young people to appointments when required
Maintain the cleanliness and standards of the accommodation
Keep accurate and appropriate records in line with organisational procedures
Attend placement meetings and reviews as needed
Work flexibly and respond positively to management guidance and service needs
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Strong work ethic and commitment to improving the lives of young people
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Word
Organised, with a methodical approach to documentation and tasks
Ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging behaviour
Proven experience as a team player with a flexible approach
