The Role

Tameside Council is seeking a dedicated and proactive Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our Community Safety team.

Are you passionate about creating safer, more respectful neighbourhoods? Do you thrive on solving problems and supporting people in challenging situations? If so, we want you on our team!

This is a vital role in helping to maintain safe, inclusive, and respectful communities across the borough. As an ASB Officer, you will often be the first point of contact for residents reporting anti-social behaviour.

The role will entail the investigation of reports, liaison with partner agencies, and taking appropriate preventative and enforcement action when necessary. You will develop and deliver methods of reducing anti-social behaviour and provide support for victims of anti-social behaviour. You will represent the council at various meetings and forums and, when necessary, represent the council’s interests in court.

This role will help to ensure that residents can enjoy a better quality of life and will require a highly motivated and well organised person that has a passion for working in the community.

You will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills, you will be customer focused, able to work under pressure and on your own initiative and have relevant experience in this field of work.
