Summary
Senior Finance Manager
LPT Grade 10
£48,365 - £52,504 FTE per annum, (£29,894.80 - £32,453.15 per annum actual salary, based on 25 hours per week)
This role is 25 hours per week, term-time only, with one additional week during the school holidays.

We are seeking to appoint a senior finance manager within our central trust finance team. The senior finance manager is responsible for the day to day running and monitoring of the central trust finances, while also providing support to the trust’s schools. The post is core to the day-to-day financial activities and effective financial management of the trust and is instrumental in ensuring that the underlying financial data is complete and accurate.
Main responsibilities: Manage all transactional activities, month end processes and the production of accurate management accounts in relation to the Central Team. Work with HR to ensure payroll procedures are followed, in line with statutory, internal and third-party payroll provider requirements. Line manage and support the Finance Assistants regarding their duties and their on-going development. Manage the central BACS process & manage and maintain the Trusts banking system. Review the Group VAT submissions to HMRC. Visit schools to ensure that financial procedures are being adhered to, providing advice and support to schools as required to ensure compliance. Manage the Trusts banking systems, HSBCnet and Lloyds. Provide technical accounting advice to finance personnel and SBPs working across the trust. Lead on the planning and organisation of the teachers’ pension audit, working with schools and external auditors as required. Assist the Head of Finance in ensuring year end statutory audit requirements are met. Lead on the planning and organisation of the teachers’ pension audit, working with schools and external auditors as required, to ensure the process runs smoothly and schools are well supported. Assist the Head of Finance in ensuring year end statutory audit requirements are met, lead on production of audit information in relation to the Central Team. Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of accounting returns to the ESFA.
