Summary
We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Food Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Essex area. This is a full-time, permanent role starting September 2025 - perfect for someone who wants to bring creativity, practical skills, and life lessons into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to KS3-KS4
• Plan engaging, practical sessions that support curriculum aims
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene in the kitchen
• Support extracurricular activities related to food and DT
• Collaborate with the wider DT team to enhance learning
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Promote positive behaviour and a growth mindset in all pupils
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree or specialism in Food Technology or related subject
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of health and safety in a food prep environment
• Enthusiasm for practical teaching and hands-on learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A team player who is open to new ideas and collaboration
