Job Summary

Temporary for 12 months. Interviews will be held on 21st July 2025.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Must be a North Ayrshire resident.

Must be 20-24yrs old.

Must be unemployed.

North Ayrshire Council is offering temporary one-year placements for Early Years Support Assistants within our Early Years team. These roles will be based in Early Years establishments across North Ayrshire and will be paid at the Real Living Wage for 30 hours per week. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be: • A resident of North Ayrshire • Aged between 20–24 years old • Currently unemployed Pre-Employment Training: All successful candidates will be required to complete a six-week Pre-Employment course delivered by Ayrshire College, starting on 28th August 2025. Training will take place two days per week, from 10am to 2pm. Upon successful completion of the training programme, candidates will commence their placement within an Early Years setting along with training towards an SCQF6 qualification in Early Learning in Childcare. As part of the application process, you will be registered with CEIS to confirm your eligibility. This will include providing ID. Interviews commencing from 21st July to 23rd July 2025. All ID which must be originals, and should brought to interview: *Birth certificate (full version) *Passport or Driving licence *Letter showing your name and address (such as a bank statement, benefits letter) *Proof of National Insurance Number (such as benefits letter, P45/P60) For more details see the attached Role Profile below.
